4D3N Johor Bahru (JB) Itinerary for Couple Getaway

Planning a quick 4D3N getaway to Johor Bahru (JB)? Here’s the full itinerary of our recent cross-border escape from Singapore – complete with hidden gems, relaxing spa stops, affordable beauty services, and, of course, mouthwatering food. If you’ve only got a few days, this guide will help you make the most of every minute.

🗓️ Day 1: Cross the Border, Dessert Finds & Self-Care

(Wednesday)

🕐 1:30 PM – Arrive at Woodlands Checkpoint

We hopped on a Singapore SBS bus, using our YouTrip card like an Ez-Link—super convenient! Despite being midweek, we cleared both sides of the checkpoint in just 15 minutes.

💡 Tip: Weekday afternoons are ideal to avoid long immigration queues.

🕑 2:30 PM – Dessert Stop at JustWant

After a quick Grab ride, we stopped at JustWant Dessert, known for their signature Pistachio dessert. Smooth, nutty, and not overly sweet—perfect for a warm afternoon treat.

📍 Location: 10, Jalan Abiad 1, Taman Pelangi, 80400 Johor Bahru, Johor Darul Ta'zim, Malaysia
💸 Price: RM15–20 per dessert

🕒 3:30 PM – Check-in to Airbnb @ R&F Mall

We checked into our Airbnb near R&F Mall, a super convenient location close to cafes, massage places, and even the checkpoint.

🕓 4:30 PM – Mani & Pedi @ Holiday Plaza

Time for some self-care! We visited a nail salon in Holiday Plaza for a no-color manicure and pedicure (RM60 total). Basic cleaning and cuticle care, done professionally.

💅 Tip: Prices here are more affordable than Singapore, and service is decent. An appointment is recommended.

🕔 5:30 PM – Stroll to KSL Mall

A short 10-minute walk brought us to KSL Mall. We browsed local boutiques and beauty stores. If you’re into massage, phone repairs, or haircuts, this is the place.

🍢 7:00 PM – Dinner at Da Cheng Lok Lok

For dinner, we hit Da Cheng Lok Lok, a lively open-air street food spot with skewered delights. We also ordered Wanton noodles—a must-try combo.

🛌 8:30 PM – Head Back to Airbnb & Rest

After a long day, we returned to our Airbnb to rest up for the exciting days ahead.

🗓️ Day 2: Café Vibes, Wellness Treats & Hidden Food Gems

(Thursday)

☕ 11:30 AM – Brunch at Keijimeto

A minimalist Japanese-style café popular with young locals, Keijimeto was a chill start to our day. We had rice bowls and matcha drinks—simple, clean flavors.

⏰ No queue when we arrived at 11:30 AM. But by 12:30 PM, it was packed!

🌿 1:30 PM – Head Spa & Ear Cleaning @ Mysticare Pro

Next up: a unique treat at Mysticare Pro, located about 30 mins from central JB. The herbal head spa + ear cleaning was relaxing and informative—great service and care throughout.

🕒 Session took 2 hours
💸 RM98–200 per pax
📍 Tip: Book in advance and prepare for a bit of traffic getting there.

💆 4:00 PM – Thai Aroma Massage (2 Hours)

We followed up with a Thai Aroma Massage at a nearby spa. While relaxing, 2 hours felt a bit too long—next time, 90 minutes is ideal.

💸 RM180 for 2 hours
🧴 Includes full body oil massage

🍜 6:15 PM – Dinner at Hai Kah Lang

We discovered this seafood noodle spot by accident—and it was packed! We tried the:

  • 🦐 Signature seafood soup with noodles

  • 🦪 Fresh oysters

  • 🍳 Fluffy omelette

Everything was fresh, flavourful, and worth the queue. It was so affordable too!

🛍️ 7:30 PM – Mid Valley Southkey Mall

We ended the night with some shopping therapy at Mid Valley Southkey Mall—a newer, upscale mall with international and local brands. We left around 9 PM.

🗓️ Day 3: Exotic Animals, Shopping Sprees & Wagyu Celebration

(Friday)

🍱 10:30 AM – Brunch via GrabFood

We had a slow morning and ordered in. Plenty of GrabFood options, from dim sum to western breakfasts.

🐐 11:00 AM – Visit to The Hidden Farm

We wanted to visit The Hidden Farm, which houses exotic animals like alpacas and capybaras. You can buy the tickets when you arrive—seems popular with families.

🎟️ Tip: Be prepared for crowds, especially for weekends or school holidays.

🛍️ 2:00 PM – Paradigm Mall

Our first time at Paradigm Mall, and we loved it! From fashion to food and even sports apparel—we scored a lot of goodies (including a pickleball shirt! 🎉).

🛍️ Top buys:

  • Casual wear

  • Local snacks

  • Bubble tea (of course)

🎂 6:00 PM – Birthday Dinner @ Wagyu Tavern

The highlight of our trip: a fancy birthday dinner at Wagyu Tavern.

✨ What we got:

  • A5 Wagyu grilled on stone

  • Sashimi & seafood platters

  • Free flow sake + wine

  • Counter seating and top-tier service

💸 RM599 per pax (reservations required)

🥟 8:00 PM – Xiao Long Bao from AEON Mall

We squeezed in one last shopping trip to AEON Mall (amid traffic). Bought some herbal frozen xiao long bao to bring home.

🚨 Tip: Grab rides are pricey during 8 PM peak hour. Plan ahead.

🗓️ Day 4: Kopi, Toast & Smooth Return

(Saturday)

🍞 9:00 AM – Breakfast at Jubilee Nanyang Kopi (R&F)

We kept it simple on the last day with traditional kopi, kaya toast, and soft-boiled eggs at Jubilee Nanyang Kopi, just a short walk from our Airbnb.

🛂 10:00 AM – Return to Singapore

We crossed the border via Woodlands. Even though it was a Saturday, the queue was short as more people were heading into JB than back to SG.

💳 Again, YouTrip worked perfectly for the SBS bus back.
